#52 1N2D's questionable tonkatsu mission + PD's response

Cha Tae Hyun's mission was to chop a customer's tonkatsu into 15 3 cm X 3 cm pieces under 30 seconds. 

Ilgan Sports - Nate:'1N2D' Chopping tonkatsu... Was it uncomfortable to watch?

1. [+1,552, -83] It was uncomfortable to watch. But I'm guessing that they've ordered them new ones... I'm sure the crew took that into consideration

2. [+1,488, -367] There are reasons why other other programs fail but 1N2D won't die out in vain because of something so trivial. But I thought they stepped over the line with this one. Those people who were about to eat looked super annoyed and they couldn't say anything

4. [+106, -9] Totally switched the channel when it was shown.. Please be mindful when making up these missions. I thought it was impolite to do that when a family's about to eat.. I would lose my appetite if my food was cut up like that

Star News - Naver:'1N2D' PD, "We got their consent before going ahead with the mission.. provided them new order"

Yoo Ho Jin PD: "Before filming, we got the consent of the customers to go ahead with the tonkatsu chopping mission. We thought of adding the quizzical expressions of the kids. Not everything that went on during filming was aired but a lot of people approached us and asked if they can participate. If there had been uncomfortable stuff that happened, we would've stopped with the mission in the first place. We provided them new orders of tonkatsu and placed them next to their table because we wouldn't want them to eat the chopped ones used for the mission. We found out later on that they ate the tonkatsu that Cha Tae Hyun-ssi chopped instead of the new ones we've ordered. We were able to proceed with the mission because of the merry atmosphere during the shoot. I apologize if Cha Tae Hyun's mission made viewers uncomfortable."
